A Moment of red tent

Written By anfaku01 on Sunday, June 26, 2011 | 6:51 PM

The "Red tent" struck a nerve.

Published by Anita Diamant a decade ago, "The Red tent" became a bestseller. Almost all women who hears my red tent events generally said: "Oh, I read the book years ago and I liked it!" or: "it is my favorite book!

Why is the "red tent" such a phenomenon?

It seems that women around the world are affected at the heart of their by the story of the Biblical Hebrew tribe of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, tell by the lens and the voice of its women.

At the Centre of these women experience is the "red tent": a space away from the bustle of daily life, where women go to when they menstruation or preparing you give birth. It is a place where women are allowed to be rather than to constantly...

Any woman cycling knows the deep yearning for peace during his time of flux. Every ounce of our appeals body and soul for the rest, while our culture calls us to us to continue, anything.

The "Red Tent', 'moon hut', or"moon lodge,"as they were known in the indigenous cultures around the world was a place of respite for women of the former. Contemporary women are deeply when they read this. Much more of a fiction novel, "The Red tent" by Anita Dimant evokes in women a cellular memory of an experience that we have all shared for millennia, everywhere in the world. Once awakened, this memory becomes a necessity, an aspiration, a right of primogeniture...

We recognize that having a place where to go when we flow, every month will be make our different lives in depth, as well as change the lives of those who live close to us and the rest of the world!

When women have a sacred space when they menstruate, they must be irritable with their spouse, children, co-workers or the world. Irritability, which is only a signal of our body that we need to rest and replenish, is no longer necessary. Instead, women can NAP, dream, draw, journal, knitting, beads, singing, painting, dancing, sleep, stretch, read, curl up into a ball and prohibit the world...

Not expected to tend to the needs of others, for a window shortly, monthly, will contribute to the inner peace of women, and harmony in their environment more than any other thing I could think!

Yes, I know, women work full-time, are single mothers and would be unable to go in a red tent, even if there was one in their neighbourhood... Set to true. But change our consciousness around this is a first step, followed by acts little which go very far. Instead of "all or nothing", why not start by recognizing that your body, mind and heart are in need of rest (i.e. If you can do it this time or not).

Recognizing the need will give rise to creative solutions (which may never come when we are looking not for them). He will lead you to see the benefit as little as 10 minutes in the morning. a time when the baby naps; or half of your lunch break, in which to create the space sacred to yourself.

Light a candle, or simply lay down and breath. Recognize that a Cycle of the moon has passed since your last menstruation. Exhale deeply and let go of this cycle, its challenges and what whether used you is no longer... Breathe deeply and take in the freshness of this time, now. Close your eyes and let your mind drift... Let you daydream. Yawn. Stretch. Listen to your body... If a thought surfaces to remind you of your chores or doing errands, smile and let go. There will be enough time for it later. This time is for you. It is your own, in-house, when attempts to red, which can take you (only you, by depriving yourself of it...)

Once you start dealing with the property be brought by the conscience and practice, take some time for yourself at the beginning of your workflow, you will never want to go back. Who knows, you may even with creative ways to get more and more each month... You deserve!
